Launceston Golf Course

Nestled in natural bushland, Launceston Golf Club proudly stands as Tasmania’s oldest 18-hole course—renowned both locally and interstate for its pristine facilities and challenging play. The clubhouse, opened in 1975 and renovated in 2018, offers a licensed bar, function centre, and pro shop. Facilities include a driving range, putting greens, and chipping areas. The club hosts regular competitions, including Ladies' Day on Tuesdays, Veterans' Day on Wednesdays, and open competitions on Saturdays .

Unlike the rugged coastal links that have defined Tasmania’s global golf reputation, the Championship Golf Course introduces a lush, tree-lined parklands style. The name, Championship Golf Course, is a tribute to Country Club Tasmania’s proud history. Originally opened in 1982, the course was designed by Australian golf legend Peter Thomson and architect Michael Wolveridge, and quickly earned a reputation for its blend of links and parkland styles. The new name honours that pedigree while reflecting the resort’s ambition to host elite tournaments and become a destination for serious golfers across Australia and beyond.
