Fleurieu Peninsula Golf Course

Designed by Tony Cashmore, the International Championship standard course boasts more than 85 bunkers and 14 lakes to give a challenging course layout.

Beyond the course, McCracken Country Club offers a comprehensive resort experience, including luxury accommodation, a fully equipped pro shop, practice facilities, and dining options such as the Clubhouse Bistro and Baudins Restaurant. The Club land covers 51.4 hectares of which some 16 hectares is fine turf area comprising the actual golf course. The course is very well maintained with access to water for all year round irrigation that enables the greens to be kept in top condition. Complementing the course are the many bird life and a selection of kangaroos who feed on the grass as golfers walk. The course is open every day except Christmas Day and attracts some 30,000 rounds of golf each year.

Strong enough from the back tees to test gifted golfers, yet fair enough to be enjoyed by the average player, the championship golf course is regarded as one of South Australia’s finest.

Some of the short holes would grace any of the most famous links courses in the world. In particular the signature 17th hole, which features in Australia’s best holes, provides a challenging test into the wind for the player striving to gain his par 3.
