Victor Harbor is a picturesque seaside holiday destination in South Australia, and in the heart of it all lies Hotel Victor, a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike. Overlooking Encounter Bay and Granite Island, we are only a stone's throw from the iconic horse-drawn tramway. Hotel Victor has been a pillar in the community for years. The first stone house, Victor Harbor House, was built on this site in 1863 as a boarding home for workers in the port business. Over the years, the building was licensed and extended until 1961 when it was replaced with a fresh build that underwent refurbishments in 2022 to bring you the Hotel Victor you see today.

Strong enough from the back tees to test gifted golfers, yet fair enough to be enjoyed by the average player, the championship golf course is regarded as one of South Australia’s finest.
Some of the short holes would grace any of the most famous links courses in the world. In particular the signature 17th hole, which features in Australia’s best holes, provides a challenging test into the wind for the player striving to gain his par 3.
Victor Harbour Golf Course
The Club land covers 51.4 hectares of which some 16 hectares is fine turf area comprising the actual golf course. The course is very well maintained with access to water for all year round irrigation that enables the greens to be kept in top condition. Complementing the course are the many bird life and a selection of kangaroos who feed on the grass as golfers walk. The course is open every day except Christmas Day and attracts some 30,000 rounds of golf each year.
