The 18 hole, par 72 championship layout weaves through rolling bushland, valleys, lakes, and woodlands. It offers dramatic elevation changes, standout holes like the 220 metre par 3 fifth (dropping over 30m to the green), and a double water - carry par 4 dubbed among the toughest on earth.

After hosting the 1981 Queensland Open and serving as the childhood proving ground for stars like Jason Day and Adam Scott, the course was revitalised following its 2016 reopening—featuring rebuilt greens, reshaped bunkers, pristine fairways, and an irrigation overhaul.
