Golf Course Details

About 30 minutes southeast of Darwin lies Humpty Doo & Rural Area Golf Club, a delightful rural layout set among the Top End bushland.

The course features 9 holes with dual tee positions, allowing it to be played as an 18‑hole par 72 layout (measuring around 6,025 m) when the alternate tees are in use. Its flat, wide fairways and grass greens make it accessible for all levels; cart hire is available for those who prefer not to walk.

Humpty Doo makes a great “off the beaten path” stop on a Darwin or Top End golf itinerary — combining bushland ambience, friendly service, and a genuine Territory experience.

Course Overview

Visitors are welcome (except during competition times), and the club often hosts open tournaments, including their 36‑hole Open events.

Water hazards, bunkers, and native trees offer strategic challenges on every hole.  After your round, relax at the air‑conditioned clubhouse, enjoy food and drinks at the Rusty Putter Bistro, or take in the sunset from the verandah bar overlooking the 18th green.
