SOUTH AFRICAN GOLF TOUR: 16 NIGHTS / 17 DAYS

TOUR DATE: NOVEMBER 2009 (8 X Rounds of Golf.) DINNER, BED & BREAKFAST BASIS

The tour starts on a Monday and ends on a Wednesday

ITINERARY:
Day 1: Mon:  Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport from Australia at 16H30 and are transported to Pretoria. Welcome dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Pretoria.
Included: Accommodation:Dinner, Pretoria, Dinner and bed, tour guide, transport. 
Travel Time (Airport to Pretoria = 50 Mins.)

Day 2: Tues: Morning enjoy a Pretoria historical city tour; (Voortrekker Monument, Paul Kruger House, Church Square & the Union Buildings with entrance fees included.) Afternoon golf at Woodhill GC or Silver Lakes. Non-golfers to visit the Menlyn Park Shopping centre.  Return to the hotel as a group in the late afternoon. Overnight in Pretoria.
Included: Accommodation:Dinner, Bed and breakfast, entrance fees to Kruger House and the Voortrekker Monument. Golf green fees with shared golf cart. Transport, tour guide, Dinner.

Day 3: Wednesday: Depart to Sun City for a late morning round of golf at the Gary Player design,
Lost City GC. Book-in at the Sun City Main hotel is only after 13h30. Non-golfers lunch for your own account.
Included: Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast, Golf green fees, shared golf cart, golfer’s lunch, and transport to Sun City. Tour guide, Group dinner.

Day 4: Thursday:  Tee-off at the Gary Player CC. Caddie included (Please note that this is a caddy only course!) Full day at leisure for non-golfers to explore Sun City and all it has to offer. Sun City is South Africa’s Kingdom of Pleasure, it offers: excellent sport facilities, gambling, Water theme park, shops, restaurants, a Spa, Game reserve, etc. Non-golfers lunch for own account. Accommodation: Sun City Main Hotel.
Included: Accommodation: Bed & breakfast. Golf green fees, golfer’s lunch and experienced caddie, Group dinner. Tour guide.

Day 5: Friday:  After breakfast, we head back to Johannesburg International Airport. Board the 12h00 / 13h00 flight to Cape Town (2 Hour flight.) Once in Cape Town, the group is collected by the Cape tour coach. Visit a golf emporium before heading for the hotel. Overnight in Cape Town.
The Internal flight to Cape Town is NOT INCLUDED!
Included: Accommodation: Dinner, Bed and Breakfast included. Tour guide, transport.

Day 6: Saturday: Tour to Cape Point and the Boulders Penguin Beach at Simons Town with the entrance fees included. Seal island boat trip at Houtbay included. Afternoon return to Cape Town.
Included: Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast, Entrance fees to Cape Point & Boulders Penguin Beach, Seal island boat trip, Tour guide and transport.

Day 7: Sunday:   Morning visit to Table Mountain by Cable Car (Ticket included.) Visit Signal hill for a photo opportunity. A Cape Town City tour including: Camps Bay and Green Point. Visit the Cape Castle, Kompanjie Gardens etc. In the afternoon there is an opportunity to visit the V&A Waterfront or enjoy a Robben Island Tour at 14h00 (for client’s own account and subject to availability! – Book in advance!) Lunch for Own account at the V&A Waterfront. Overnight in Cape Town.
Included: Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast, Cable car ticket, entrance fees to the Cape Castle, transport, tour guide, dinner.

Day 8: Monday:  Early morning departure to the wine lands for breakfast and then a round of golf at the Paarl GC or De Zalze GC (1 hour away.) The non-golfers have time to visit the Paarl Language Monument, Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. We re-unite and enjoy a late picnic lunch at a wine farm; we visit the French Huguenot Museum in Franschoek and explore Stellenbosch. Overnight in the wine lands.
Included: Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast, golf green fees, shared golf cart, entrance fees to the Franschoek French Huguenot museum, a picnic lunch at a wine farm, dinner, transport, tour guide.

Day 9: Tuesday: After breakfast a long but interesting journey along the N2, via Mosselbay to Knysna awaits you. (Travel Time 5, 5 hours.) Lunch en-route for your own account.  Overnight at Knysna.
Included: Accommodation: Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Group dinner, transport, tour guide.

Day 10: Wednesday:  Breakfast and a tour of the Knysna Elephant Sanctuary. Tee-off in the late morning at the fabulous Simola GC. Non-golfers enjoy a visit to the Knysna Waterfront, the Oyster Company and a boat trip tour on the Knysna Estuary (entrance fees included for non-golfers.) In the late afternoon the group re-unites and return back to the hotel.
Included: Accommodation: Breakfast, Knysna Elephant Sanctuary, golf green fees with shared golf cart and halfway house meal for golfers. Dinner, transport, tour guide.

Day 11: Thursday: Depart to Fancourt in George. Golf at the Montagu OR Outeniqua course at Fancourt. Non-golfers are transported to Mosselbay to visit the Diaz Caravel Museum and take the Outeniqua Choo-choo train back to George at 14h00. At George station they are met and are transported back to the hotel. Lunch for own account. Overnight at Fancourt.
Included: Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast, golf green fees, shared golf cart, transport. Group dinner, tour guide.

Day 12: Friday:  Transfer to the George Airport for the flight to Durban. FLIGHT TO DURBAN IS NOT INCLUDED. Once in Durban you are collected by the new coach at the airport. Visit the Ushaka Marine world and enjoy a short drive through tour of Durban. Lunch for own account. Late afternoon arrival in Ballito. Overnight in Ballito.
Included: Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast, Entrance fee to Ushaka Marine World. Dinner, transport, tour guide.

Day 13: Saturday: Morning at leisure or spent at the beach. Afternoon round of golf at the Mount
Edgecombe GC. Overnight at Ballito.
Included: Accommodation: Bed and Breakfast. Golf green fees, shared golf cart. Dinner, transport,
tour guide.

Day 14: Sunday:  Transfer to Zululand (4 hours) and the Phinda Private Game Reserve. Book in at lunch time. Lunch for all. Late afternoon / evening game drive in the Big 5 Game Reserve in open game vehicles with an experienced nature guide. Return for dinner to the game lodge.
Included: Accommodation: Dinner, bed and breakfast. Evening game drive. Transport and tour guide.

Day 15: Monday:  Early morning game drive in the Phinda Game Reserve in open game vehicles with an experienced nature guide. Breakfast. Book-out of the lodge. Coach transfers the guests back to Durban.

En-route visit the Dumazulu Cultural village OR a Boat trip on the St Lucia estuary with opportunities to view hippos and crocodiles (entrance fees included.) Afternoon arrival back in Durban. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the City Lodge Hotel at Umhlanga Rocks.
Included: Accommodation: Dinner, bed and breakfast. Morning game drive. Entrance fees to a cultural village or St Lucia Estuary boat trip. Transport and tour guide.

Day 16: Tuesday: Golf at magical Zimbali GC. Afternoon at leisure. Early evening transfer to Mount Edgecombe for the final evening’s dinner. At 22h30 the guests are returned by the tour coach to their hotel at Zimbali. Overnight at the City Lodge Hotel at Umhlanga Rocks.
Included: Accommodation: Bed and breakfast, Dinner, golf green fees, shared golf cart. Transport and tour guide.

Day 17: Wednesday: Morning at leisure. Shopping at the nearby Gateway shopping centre. Group transfers to the Durban Airport for your mid-day flight back to Johannesburg. The Internal flight to Johannesburg is NOT INCLUDED. Arrive at the Johannesburg International Airport with enough time to prepare for the International flight back home at 18h00.
Included: Breakfast, group transfer to the airport in Durban. Tour guide.

* All costs of a personal nature: Telephone calls, bar bills, all drinks with meals, room service, porterage, laundry, curios, gifts, tips or gratuities etc.
* All golf equipment or golf equipment hire.
* Additional golf buggy or caddy hire costs.
* Personal, Medical and Travel Insurance.
* Extra transport or transfers not included in the itinerary, taxi fares, after hours transport etc.
* Entrance fees to tourist attractions or attractions that are not specified for example: Sun City Entertainment, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Entrance fees to other Monuments and Museums in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, George, funicular at Cape Point etc.
* Any other tour or tourist excursion not included in the itinerary above. 
* Extra baggage, baggage storage or excess weight charges on all flights.
* All other costs not mentioned in the itinerary, are for the client’s own account.
